Rotary members are business and professional leaders who provide meaningful service, encourage high ethical standards and help build goodwill and peace in the world around us. Rotary clubs are non-relgious, non-governmental and open to every race, culture and creed. Every year, the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International spends over US$ 70 million on humanitarian programmes around the world in promoting international goodwill and understanding by several exchanges through Ambassadorial Scholarship Programmes, Group Study Exchanges and by giving grants for humanitarian projects under its Health, Hunger and Humanity (3H) programmes. Rotary Clubs have been supporting the Polio Eradication initiative worldwide.
